So I actually watched this last week and I think… well, it was enjoyable. One of the things I’ve been hearing a lot of lately is that Netflix doesn’t have any good movies on Instant Queue… followed quickly by, “Well, no like new movies.” Yes - this is true. But Saying Netflix has no good movies is like me saying ESPN has no good sports because I only like Soccer and Hockey which have no televised college season as far as I know of.
I will admit, however, that instant queue does provide a lot more documentaries, dark indy flicks, and foreign films than it does good comedies or action films. But to say that it offers nothing at all is just another way of saying that you don’t really like movies. In that case, why do you pay for a service that provides them. Go get Spotify Premium or something.
All this to say, I liked Bunny and the Bull and no I will not recommend it to everyone, because I’ve decided that people dont’ like movies. Bunny and the Bull has some of that fantasy element that you may remember from The Science of Sleep, but it plays out in such a nonchalant sort of way that it adds an element of humor or sarcasm to what might be an otherwise dry moment.
The premise of the film is your SHY GUY + FREE SPIRIT + ROMANTIC INTEREST = FUN formula. I think it is the quirky nature of this film, however, that gives it an extra piece of pizazz.

BROAD VS. NICHE - I think this is a broad movie that anyone can enjoy, but most people probably won’t. It’s british but the humor is less dry and more spontaneous and feeds off of the carelessness of the free spirit and his tendency to get himself into trouble or take things too lightly.
WATCHABILITY - I think this was a pretty watchable film. I remained interested for the most part. On occasion you feel a slight lull as the film has some repetitive or predictable nature, but at other times… well I can’t even explain the randomness that occurs intermittently throughout this film.
WHEN TO WATCH - Who cares. It’s just a generic comedy movie. Something that’s not bad. Perhaps a good lazy afternoon weekend film. Something to pass the time and make the most of an otherwise eventless lunch.
